What are activity rates?

Activity rates look at mouse and keyboard activity while tracking time, and assign a number based on action. You can use these to identify trends over time.

Do you have to take screenshots?

No, the screenshot feature can be turned off on a per-user basis. Screenshots can also be set to capture once, twice, or three times per ten minutes.

How do I know when screenshots are taken?

Transparency is important to us so you’ll get a notification when a screenshot is taken. You can always delete time and the data attached to it, as well.

Does the app take webcam photos?

No, and Hubstaff would never do this. We’re only concerned with capturing work progress and streamlining productivity.

Does the app track activity or apps and URLs when I'm not working?

No, Hubstaff only tracks desktop work while you’re actively tracking time. You’re in control of your data.
